Theresa DeLorenzo, DCN, RD
Dr. Theresa DeLorenzo is the Program Director for the Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance and serves as the team dietitian for USA Para Powerlifting at Logan. She graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics in 2007. She then received her Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2007 and her Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition in 2013.
Dr. DeLorenzo is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetics Registration and owns a sports nutrition practice, Nutrition for Optimal Performance. She also spent 12 years in the clinical setting working in the neonatal intensive care unit.
In 2020, Dr. DeLorenzo received her 200-hour yoga teaching certification and is now obtaining a yoga therapy certification to work with athletes and those looking to reduce anxiety or lose weight. She has been practicing yoga for 12 years and is a certified Aerobics Instructor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and an avid athlete, having ran two marathons and a 200-mile relay race across Tuscany.
Dr. DeLorenzo lives in upstate New York and has two children.
