FCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) whose mission is to provide affordable and accessible comprehensive primary care services to anyone, with an emphasis on the medically underserved, and to train a primary care workforce to promote the general health of the service area.
We are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and forward thinking out-patient chiropractor to serve as an independent contractor in our integrated care team at Family Care Health Centers (FCHC).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides the full scope of chiropractic service, including examination, diagnosis, treatment (e.g., manipulation, acupuncture, and soft tissue therapies), patient education, therapeutic exercise, and management of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions.
- Works within an interdisciplinary team that includes primary care, physical therapy, chiropractic, behavioral health, community health and nutrition.
- Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate teamwork and professional relationships with patients and their families.
- Practices with an understanding of the whole person and the complexity of the biopsychosocial model of pain.
PERIODIC DUTIES:
- Participates in Health Center staff problem solving groups.
- Attends and participates in department meetings, etc.
- Works with other care teams to coordinate around other chronic conditions.
- Communicates and collaborates with medical team professionals from other treatment facilities.
- Provides education and training to family medicine residents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctor of chiropractic degree required
- Current full and unrestricted license to practice in the state of Missouri required
- 2 years of post-graduate experience preferred
- Board certified in acupuncture preferred
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification and Basic Life Support certification required (and offered through Family Care Health Centers once the position is accepted)
BENEFITS:
Our salary range is $40-50/hour, commensurate with training and experience
This position offers flexibility with a schedule of 32-36 hours/week
